Adaptive Difficulty

Solfege Story automatically simplifies the stimulus if the user has two or more incorrect attempts.

Call and Response

Songs are broken down into short phrases. The player learns to “echo” the stimulus phrase using solfege.

Systematic Progression

Solfege Story begins with simple songs with only a few pitches to choose from. It progresses incrementally to more complex songs with more pitches, including songs that span more than an octave in range.

Keyboard for play-along

The same processes learnt through Solfege Story’s song libraries can be used on songs from other sources like streaming, radio or television. Go into Keyboard mode, set the home note to the home note you’ve identified for the songs, and you’re good to go. Put on an optional Piano Keyboard overlay for extra training if you want to.

Movable Do vs Fixed Do

The first round through “The Land Of Do” is entirely in the key of C-major. Playing “The Land Of Do” on subsequent rounds will be in Movable Do, where songs get assigned to a random key on each play.

Expandable Song Library

Solfege Story comes with a free story “The Land Of Do”, that brings the player’s pitch proficiency all the way from beginner stages to expert stages. Themed premium song libraries will be released that expands the app’s eclectic song catalogue. The first premium content Christmas Collection adds twelve Christmas-themed songs to the app.
